Lode can’t find my location
Open iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Lode Maps, choose While Using the App, and turn on Precise Location.
Navigation stops when I lock my phone
Keep Lode open on screen while navigating for now. Guidance with the screen locked is coming in an update.
The voice sounds robotic
Lode uses your iPhone’s voices. Go to Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices › English and download an Enhanced or Premium voice.
How do I route through a base or gated community?
On the route screen, turn on Gated & base roads. Only take routes you’re allowed to enter.
How do convoys work?
Tap the car button on the map, start a convoy, and share the code, which looks like LODE 1234 5678. Others tap Join and enter it. Convoys end after 12 hours.
A report on my route is wrong
When you drive past it, Lode asks if it’s still there. Tap Not there and it’s removed for everyone.
Does Lode work without signal?
Download areas in Settings › Offline maps. Routes you drive or save also work offline, without live traffic or rerouting.
How do I delete my data?
Everything personal is on your phone. Clear it in Settings › Data, or delete the app.
